Wow…its been so long since I’ve been here that the URL didn’t even show up in my browser history.  To all my loyal fans, sorry for the hiatus.

To catch everyone up, Miami was terrific.  (The rain did stop!)  The weather was perfect, the beach was perfect…but after three days I had to come home so that my sunburned skin could peel in relative obscurity.  I surely did hate to return and go back to work, but since I am not of the independently wealthy sort I have to do something in order to finance such little getaways.

And speaking of such…

Thanks to my spur of the moment jaunt to the beach and the influence of an extraordinarily well-travelled friend, I’ve decided to give myself an exciting birthday present this year…a real vacation.  I have about 120,000 SkyMiles to burn, and I’ve decided that there isn’t a better time than now.  The destination is not yet set in stone, but an early favorite is the Central American country of Belize.  The beaches, the rainforests, the coral reefs…I’m already so excited!  Join me, please, in crossing my fingers that I can convince a particular someone that they need to come along…
